Yoshi: I’m sure I’ve been asked weird questions in my life, but I can’t think of any one example. I think the most important part is: no matter how weird or off-the-wall the question may be, it’s important to listen to the question humbly and respectfully and don’t mock the question. Behind every question is a questioner, a human being that deserves our full attention.
Ana: I think my favorite has to be my orange belt emailing me at 2 am; “I know you’ll probably say no to this… but can you teach me sip soo?” He may be a little overly eager, but it was really funny. After all, what else are you supposed to do at 2 am when you’re in college? Study? Eh, Googling black belt forms on YouTube it is!
Raechel: The only thing that really comes to mind that’s class related is when students ask for me to NOT run their warm ups for black belt prep class… They say, “it’s too hard!”
David: I have several funny ones that would not be appropriate to share on the internet. You will have to ask me in person to hear those. One funny thing that is safe for work is when a student in the class before the one I would assist with several years ago would ask my instructor if I was a pizza delivery person.
